State Police investigate motorcycle crash on Route 66

Ghent, New York – On July 25, 2015, New York State Police from the Livingston barracks responded to a Columbia County 911 call reporting a motorcycle crash that occurred on State Route 66 in the Town of Ghent.
An investigation revealed that 46-year-old Bridget A. McLellan of Chatham, New York, was operating a 2012 Honda motorcycle northbound on Route 66 at a high rate of speed. McLellan exited the roadway off the east shoulder and was unable to regain control of the motorcycle.
McLellan was transported to Albany Medical Center with severe injuries.
The State Police were assisted by the Ghent Fire Department, Chatham Rescue and several Good Samaritans who assisted at the scene.
