Joseph M. Goldsand, 69, a resident of Poughquag and formerly of Peekskill, died July 18, 2015, after a valiant fight with pancreatic cancer. Born on July 7, 1946, in Peekskill; son of the late Isadore and Sylvia Goldsand. Joe worked for over 40 years as a title insurance agent for his brother, the late Ronald Goldsand, and the RG Agency, which he took over with his niece, Robin Goldsand, in 1999. Joe was an avid outdoorsman, and he loved to ski, bike, hike and kayak -all with friends. He also enjoyed vacationing at Topsail Island, North Carolina. Most of all he loved his family, and all his friends, colleagues, and clients from RG Title Agency in Peekskill. Joe is survived by his long-time companion, Lynne Goldsand and his brother, Richard I. Goldsand. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Alyssa Goldsand, Corey Goldsand, Shari Goldsand, Susie Ashbel, Robert Goldsand, Robin Goldsand, Rhona Goldsand; and all their respective families. Along with his brother Ronald, he was also predeceased by his sister, Carol Goldenblank. A memorial gathering for friends, colleagues and clients will be held on July 27, at 5:00 PM at RG Agency, 1000 N. Division St., Peekskill (Hat Factory). The family wishes for memorial donations to be made in Joe’s memory to either Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Ave., New York, NY 10065 or to the Phelps Memorial Hospital, 1 Phelps Ln., Suite 106, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591.
