Cortlandt man arrested following domestic dispute

Cortlandt, New York – On July 12, 2015, New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Jaquae K. Henry, 20 years old, of Cortlandt, New York, for Assault 3rd Degree and Resisting Arrest, both misdemeanors.

Troopers were dispatched to a Cortlandt residence for a 911 hang-up call.  When they arrived on scene, the observed two subjects engaging in a verbal domestic dispute.  An investigation revealed that Henry had struck the victim in the face, causing her injury, prior to police arrival.  When Troopers attempted to place Henry under arrest for assault, he actively resisted.

The defendant was arraigned at the Town of Cortlandt Court in front of Judge McCarthy where he was remanded to the Westchester County Jail on $2,500 Cash bail or Bond.  He was scheduled to reappear before the Cortlandt Court on July 13, 2015 at 9:00 a.m.
