Arthur S. Weaver, Jr., 74, passed away at Danbury Hospital, Danbury, CT on Saturday, July 11, 2015.

A life-time resident of Pawling, he was born in Sharon, CT on July 3, 1941 to the late Arthur S. and Dorothy Mae (Frey) Weaver. He married Beverly Jean Langert on September 14, 1963 in the Pawling United Methodist Church; she survives at home.

Art worked for Kimberly-Clark in New Milford, CT for 37 years, and proudly stated that “he never missed a day of work”; no matter what the weather, he would make in to work. He was a Life Member of the Pawling Fire Department, being a member for 51 years, and was in the fire department’s Fire Police, Hook & Ladder, and Rescue Squad. Art loved the fire department and he loved his community. Art was an avid bowler, and enjoyed sports and camping in the Adirondacks.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Arthur III of Pawling and his daughter, Pamela Ann Weaver, also of Pawling; three grandsons, T.J., Corey, and Ryan, and great-granddaughter Allannah; and his brother Adam (Lillian) Weaver of New Milford, CT.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Ostrander who passed away July 15, 2014.

There are no calling hours; a memorial service will be held at the Pawling Fire House at 1 PM on September 12, 2015.
