Pleasant Valley – Doris J. Boshart of Pleasant Valley passed away on July 5, 2015 at Lutheran Care Center, surrounded by the loving nurses on 2 South. She was 90 years old. Doris was born on October 20, 1924 in Poughkeepsie to the late Carl G. and Catherine R. Swenson.

Doris loved to write and left her family with many journals and personal short stories. She inherited her love of water from her loving father. When Doris wasn’t entertaining family or friends she was reading, painting, quilting, knitting, gardening, baking, golfing, taking classes, playing cards and games, traveling, cross country skiing, or getting ready for Christmas – even if it was June.
