On 07/07/15 the Orange County Child Abuse Unit. which is comprised of members from the New York State Police, Village of Goshen Police, City of Port Jervis Police and Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrested a  29 year old City of Middletown man for the Class D Felony of Assault 2nd degree and the class A Misdemeanor of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

State Police arrested and charged ADRIAN BOOTH, 29 years old (DOB 05/12/86) of the City of Middletown, N.Y. following an investigation of a report to the New York State Child Abuse Hotline. The investigation was conducted in conjunction with the Orange County Department of Social Services – Child Protective Services and it was revealed that Mr. BOOTH, while at a residence in the City of Port Jervis  intentionally caused physical injury to a child under the age of 7 years old.  Mr. BOOTH was familiar with the 2 year old victim.

Mr. BOOTH was arraigned before the Honorable City of Port Jervis Judge JAMES HENDRY and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000.00 cash bail or $75,000.00 secured bond. Judge HENDRY ordered Mr. BOOTH to reappear before the City of Port Jervis Court on 07/08/15 at 8:30AM and issued an Order of Protection on behalf of the victim.
