Troopers in Montgomery arrest a Town of Newburgh man for Stalking following a brief vehicle pursuit.

New York State Troopers in Montgomery arrested a Town of Newburgh man for Stalking following a brief vehicle pursuit. Troopers were summoned to Sleepy Hollow Trailer Park in the Town of Montgomery at 7:30pm on Sunday night to investigate a harassment and stalking complaint. The complainant reported receiving death threats and a continued course of harassing incidents from 38 year old Raymond Serrano Jr., who was unable to be located. Early Monday morning, Troopers were back in the trailer park for an unrelated incident when they observed Serrano drive by. When approached, Serrano fled in his vehicle and was briefly pursued by the Troopers until he crashed into a tree on Briarwood Lane. Serrano ran from the vehicle and was quickly apprehended by the Troopers. Serrano was processed at the NYSP Montgomery barracks and charged with Aggravated Harassment 2nd, Stalking 4th, Fleeing an Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd, Criminal Mischief 4th and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. He was arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of bail.
