Stanford man arrested for possessing forged check

Stanford, New York – On June 28, 2015, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Anthony L. Lucia, 20 years old, of Stanford, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony.
On May 11, 2015, Troopers received a fraud complaint from a Town of Stanford man. Following an investigation conducted by police, it was discovered that Lucia was in possession of a forged check in April of 2015 while at a Town of Stanford business.
Lucia was arraigned before the Town of Stanford Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to return to the Stanford Court on July 22, 2015.
