Brian M. Sharpe, 57 formerly of Ford Street Ogdensburg, passed Wednesday June 24, 2015. There will be no public calling hours. A burial will take place in Brookside Cemetery, Waddington at the convenience of the family. Brian was born to the late David and Kathleen (Lavair) Sharpe in Ogdensburg on January 8, 1958. He was a graduate from Madrid-Waddington High School where he was a standout in baseball and soccer during the 1970’s, playing on championship teams in both sports. Brian later attended State University of New York at Brockport. He was employed for a time at Harlem Valley State Hospital in Dover, NY. Brian is survived by a son Ryan Dessert of Canandaigua, NY sisters Davalene and husband Robert Layng of Ogdensburg, NY and Cheryl and husband Louis Wilcox, of Wassaic, NY a brother Gary D. Sharpe of Waddington. Brian is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Marguerite “Peggy” Tomah. The arrangements are under the care and direction of the Phillips Memorial Home in Waddington, NY.
