SP HIghland – three subjects stabbed – fourth shot and killed

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police in conjunction with the Ulster County Sheriffs Office, Ulster County District Attorney and the Town of Plattekill Police Department responded to a residence on Crescent Avenue in Plattekill for a report of multiple subjects being stabbed and one subject being shot.  Upon arrival patrols located three persons who had been stabbed by a fourth person who was subsequently shot by family members of the injured parties.  All of the injured people, a male and two females were transported to the Mid Hudson Regional Hospital for injuries that do not appear to be life threatening. The deceased subject has been identified as Rodshan Pittman – 25 – of Highland, NY who died as a result of a gunshot wound.  No charges are being filed at this time and the investigation will remain open pending possible grand jury action.

The State Police were assisted at the scene by the agencies listed above as well as units from the Town of Lloyd and New Paltz University Police as well as the Modena Fire Department and Mobil Life.  Anyone with information on this case is being asked to contact the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Highland at 845 691 2922.
