State Police investigate accidental drowning in Pound Ridge

PRESS RELEASE
Pound Ridge, New York – On June 25, 2015 at approximately 2:12 p.m., New York State Police from the Somers barracks responded to a Pound Ridge home to assist EMS with a possible drowning.

Subsequent investigation revealed that Alejandro Limon-Garcia, age 31, of White Plains, New York, was servicing a water pump and fell from his canoe into Blue Heron Lake.  Limon-Garcia attempted to grab the canoe, but was unsuccessful. His untimely death appears to be accidental in nature.

Limon-Garcia was recovered from Blue Heron Lake with the assistance of the Stamford Fire Department Search and Rescue divers.

The State Police were assisted by Pound Ridge Police Department, Pound Ridge Fire Department and Ambulance,  Bedford Fire Department, Stamford Fire Department Search and Rescue, and Westchester County EMS.
