Julian Mostachetti among 2015 SUNY New Paltz Honors Program graduates

NEW PALTZ, NY (06/23/2015)(readMedia)– The SUNY New Paltz Honors Program provides highly motivated students with an atmosphere conducive to independent thinking, creativity, respect and social responsibility, and offers opportunities to engage in deep learning practices and conduct major scholarly research.

Julian Mostachetti of Millbrook, N.Y. joined the small and distinguished society of New Paltz alumni to wear the Honors sash as a 2015 graduate of the Honors Program.

Program Director Patricia Sullivan said this class of Honors graduates is exemplary of the potential of the program itself.

“The Honors cohort is engaged in learning, intellectually curious, creative, dynamic, collaborative and collegial,” Sullivan said. “Its graduates have been important ambassadors for the program, reaching out to potential students, offering tours and recounting experiences. I’m so proud of these students and I can only imagine what the future holds for them.”

Located in the heart of a dynamic college town, ninety minutes from metropolitan New York City, the State University of New York at New Paltz is a highly selective college of about 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

One of the most well-regarded public colleges in the nation, New Paltz delivers an extraordinary number of majors in Business, Liberal Arts & Sciences, Engineering, Fine & Performing Arts and Education.

New Paltz embraces its culture as a community where talented and independent minded people from around the world create close personal links with real scholars and artists who love to teach.
