Monticello man arrested for stealing inspection stickers

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police at SP Wurtsboro announce the arrest of Brazeley A. Burns, age 53, of Monticello NY for two counts of Grand Larceny 4th, felonies and two counts of attempted Grand Larceny 4th, misdemeanors.

This arrest was the result on an investigation by the State Police into the reported larceny of several NYS inspection stickers off of vehicles which were parked at a local business in the Forestburgh area.  In addition to the actual larcenies, Burns attempted to steal NYS inspection stickers from other vehicles at the same location.

Burns was arraigned before Town of Liberty Town Justice Rourke and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $25,000 bail.  Burns is scheduled to return to the Town of Liberty Court on June 15th at 10:00 am.
