Pleasant Valley man charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated

Pleasant Valley, New York – On May 29, 2015, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested William D. Phillips, 32 years old, of Pleasant Valley, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Felony.

Troopers stopped a motorcycle traveling on Route 44 at a high rate of speed. An investigation revealed that the Phillips, the driver of the motorcycle, was intoxicated at the time of the stop.

Due to a previous DWI related conviction from 2007, Phillips was charged with Felony DWI.

Phillips provided a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .17%, over two times the legal limit of intoxication.  He was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear before the Pleasant Valley Court on June 4, 2015.
