PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police at SP Wurtsboro announce the arrest of VINCENT P RYAN Jr, age 50, of Bloomingburg for Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, all felonies.

The arrest is the result of an incident that occurred on May 28, 2015 at approximately 1:10pm where Ryan, operating a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV, intentionally rammed his vehicle into an occupied dwelling located on Burlingham Rd in the Town of Mamakating.  Ryan’s actions did cause serious physical injury to the intended target.  The victim was the subject of a court order of protection held against Ryan.  The incident resulted in considerable damage being done to the residence and appears to be the result of a past financial dispute between Ryan and his victim.

Ryan was arraigned before Town of Mamakating Town Justice Cynthia Dolan and committed to the Sullivan County Jail.   Ryan will reappear in the Town of Mamakating Town Court at a later date.
