Mahopac man arrested for DWI, gives breath sample over four times the legal limit

Somers, New York – On May 26, 2015, New York State Police from the Somers barracks arrested Darryl J. Costello, 45 years old, of Mahopac, New York, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.Troopers stopped the vehicle Costello was operating on State Route 6 for failing to dim his high beams to on-coming traffic.  The investigating Trooper interviewed Costello and observed clues that indicated he was intoxicated at the time of the stop.Costello supplied a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .38%, more than four times the legal limit of intoxication.

Costello was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital for evaluation and issued traffic tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Somers Court on
June 15, 2015 at 5:30 p.m.
