State Police investigate the discovery of a deceased Brewster man

PRESS RELEASE
Brewster, New York – On May 17,2015, at approximately 9:45 a.m., New York State Police at Brewster responded to a report of a deceased male along the bank of the East Branch creek, under the Borden train trestle in the Village of Brewster.

The victim, Marvin H. Castillo-Vasquez, age 22, (homeless), was located by two fishermen in an area which is known to be frequented by the homeless.

The investigation into Castillo-Vasquez’ death is on-going with an autopsy pending to determine cause of death.  However, at this time no foul play is suspected.

The State Police was assisted by the Village of Brewster Police and also the MTA Police due to the close proximity to the Borden train trestle.
