Daniel Wysocki of Poughquag honored at SUNY Oswego convocation

OSWEGO, NY (05/12/2015)(readMedia)– Daniel M. Wysocki of Poughquag was honored at SUNY Oswego’s recent Honors Convocation. He received the Charles H. Jerred Memorial Award for Outstanding Astronomy Student..

Wysocki is a senior studying physics and computer science at Oswego. He is a member of Sigma Xi and the American Physical Society. His future plans are to attend graduate school to pursue a Ph.D. He is the son of Maurice Wysocki and Patricia Breslin of Poughquag.

The formal ceremony, complete with a procession of faculty and college officers in full academic regalia, is sponsored each spring at Oswego by Vega, the women’s honor society.

The audience included faculty, staff, students and students’ family members. SUNY Oswego honored more than 100 students at the ceremony.
