Samuel A. Zanghi, Jr ,64, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 at his home in Reading, PA.
Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on June 1, 1959, he was the son of the late Samuel A. Zanghi and Ernestine Castellano. Sam grew up in Pawling and graduated from Pawling High School.
Sam was a maître d’ at The Opera House in NYC.
Sam was a lover of the art and loved going to museums and was a gifted artist himself. He also loved “clubbing” and swimming, in the ocean or a pool.
In addition to his parents, Sam is predeceased by his two sisters, Loretta Harby and Florence Wagner.
He is survived by his nephew Jeremy Harby and his wife Jessica and their two children Logan and Landon of Freeport, LI; his partner of many years, Bernard Rodriguez; and many friends.
Family and friends may pay their respects at Horn & Thomes, Inc Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY Saturday, April 2oth from 11-12:15 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John’s Church, 39 East Main Street, Pawling at 12:30 PM. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
Donations in Memory of Sam may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the S.P.C.A.
