First Volunteer Recruitment Day at the Pawling Resource Center on June 8th

First Volunteer Recruitment Day at the Pawling Resource Center on June 8th

Anyone who is passionate about making a difference in our community by extending a helping hand to those in need, may explore the many ways to do so on June 8th , between 10:00 a.m. and noon, as the Pawling Resource Center hosts its first Volunteer Recruitment Day.

With a nod to its “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” motto, the PRC endeavors to promote the joys of giving back to the community. All are invited to this gathering for an opportunity to learn more about PRC services and discover how anyone with a desire to serve can play a vital role in the center’s mission.

Volunteers are needed for stocking shelves in the food pantry, assisting with medical equipment loans, manning the office phones, or providing transportation to non-emergency medical appointments or food pantry delivery for homebound seniors. Each volunteer opportunity is pivotal to the PRC’s ability to function smoothly and meet growing community need.

The PRC Volunteer Recruitment Day isn’t just about signing up for volunteer opportunities. This is a chance to connect with staff, meet current volunteers, and gain insight into the impact the Center has on our community every day. “Whether you’re a long-time resident or new to the area, we welcome individuals of all backgrounds and experiences to join us in our mission of compassion and service,” offered Olga Brandenberger, PRC Executive Director.

Refreshments will be served, and all are welcome to drop by anytime between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm at 126 E. Main Street (in the carriage house of the John Kane House). For more information or to RSVP, please contact the PRC at 845-855-3459 or email pawlingresource@gmail.com.
