NYC Man Charged with Sexual Offense Against Child
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Daniel N. Montesdeoca, age 19 of New York City, in connection with a recent investigation into the sexual performance of a child.
Mr. Montesdeoca was taken into custody on 4/11/24 after an approximate month-long investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau, and at this time he is accused of inducing a child less than 17 years old to perform sexual acts over the internet. In order to protect the victim’s privacy no further information about them or the case will be released.
At this time Mr. Montesdeoca has been charged with the use of a child in a sexual performance (felony), promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child (felony),and criminal contempt in the 2nd degree (misd). After being processed he was arraigned before the Town of Amenia Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center in lieu of $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond.
