Obituary, Marion L. Priest

Marion L. Priest, 78, a longtime resident of Wingdale, NY, passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. She was with loved ones at the time of her passing. Along with her husband, Marion owned and operated Jack and Jill Q Lounge in Brewster, NY. Born on July 1, 1945, in Somerville, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frederick D. Muller, Jr., and Blanche (Corbin) Muller. On April 14, 1978, in New Milford, CT, she married Steven K. Priest who survives at home.

Marion was gifted with a beautiful singing voice and ability to write music. She often sang in church and wrote and composed several original choir pieces that glorified the Lord. Her favorite computer endeavors included creating Jigidy puzzles and playing words with friends. Her most meaningful moments were times spent with family and loved ones.

In addition to her loving husband, Marion is survived by two children, Richard Bushey, Jr., of Wingdale, NY and Christine Wendover and her husband, Michael, of Dover Plains. She is also survived by two brothers, Frederick D. Muller, III and Ulric Muller both of Catskill, NY; a sister, Cheryl Alleva of Catskill, NY; two grandchildren, Trevor (Ashley) and Kyle Wendover and two great- grandchildren, Noah and Joshua Wendover. Besides her parents, Marion was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Muller and two great-grandchildren Lily and Daniel Wendover.

Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at South Dover Rural Cemetery in Wingdale, NY.
