Margaret D. Patchey, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on February 28, 2024. She was born in Ossining, NY on May 27, 1927. Margaret was well known in her community as she worked at Pawling Savings Bank for many years. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, the Pawling Fireman’s Auxiliary, and as her faith was so important to her she was a longstanding member of St. John’s Roman Catholic Church.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Raymond H. Patchey, Sr. Margaret joined Ray in heaven on what would have been his 100th birthday! She is survived by her children Margaret Kimma, Kathleen Jones (Gary), Raymond Patchey, Jr. (Eileen) and Rosanne Patchey. Her nine grandchildren: Casey, Matthew, William, Stephen, Andrew, James, Elizabeth, Anthony and Erin and her eight great grandchildren: Logan, Emily, Madison, Evan, Patrick, Brady, Lilyan, and Savannah.
She was predeceased by her parents James and Margaret (Lynch) Doyle and her two brothers.
Margaret loved her family, the occasional apricot sour and spending time with the many friends she had through the years. She had a beautiful smile and gave the best hugs. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
Arrangements are being made through Horn & Thomes, Inc Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling. Viewing will be held Friday evening (March 1st) from 4 pm to 7 pm. The Catholic Daughters will conduct a service at 5 pm and the Ladies Auxiliary at 6:30. A Mass of Christian Burial at St. John’s in Pawling at 11 am Saturday morning (March 2nd); burial to follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
