Guadalupe Sanchez, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away Monday, January 31, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Wingdale at the age of 96.
A resident of Pawling, NY for the past 2 ½ years, she was orn in Nicaragua on August 25, 1927, and was the daughter of Emilio and Leonor (Farjado) Guerrero. She married the late Emilio Sanchez in the Bronx on December 20, 1958 ; he predeceased her on July 13, 2002.
Guadalupe loved shopping, listening to music, especially her Spanish music, fishing, and a good wine. But most of all, she loved her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Annmarie Sanchez of Georgia, Elizabeth Morel of Wingdale, and Leonor Sanchez of Greenville, NY; 10 grandchildren, Stephanie, Christine, Nicole, Josh, Leo, Hector, Shaun, Michelle, Hope, and Hanna; 11 great-grandchildren; a niece, Martha Farjado; and numerous friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her brother Emilio Farjado..
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, on Saturday, February 3rd from 9 -10; a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:15 AM at St. John’s Church, 29 East Main Street, Pawling, NY; entombment will follow in Trinity Church Cemetery, New York, NY.
