Wayne Recore, 79, a longtime resident of Wingdale, NY, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at The Paramount in Somers, NY. Born on July 24, 1945, in Churubusco, NY, he was the son of the late Leo and Rose (Decosse) Recore.
Mr. Recore was a general mechanic at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center and Hudson River Health Care for 35 years retiring in 2000. He was a life member of J.H. Ketcham Hose Company and a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains.
Mr. Recore is survived by four sisters, Jane Patnode of Dover Plains, Shirley Parent of Churubusco, NY, Barbara Patnode of Plattsburgh, NY, and Theresa Poupore of Malone, NY, and a brother, Donald Recore of South Carolina. He is also survived by two grandsons, Nicholas and Nathan Wilson; a great-grandson, Act Wilson and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Recore was predeceased by a daughter, Shannon Wilson.
Graveside services and burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at St. Charles Cemetery, S. Nellie Hill Road, Dover Plains, NY with Rev. R. Kent Wilson officiating.
