Michael Joseph Lewis, 73 currently of South Glens Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday December 30th, 2023, after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Waterford, Ireland, to John and Catherine Lewis the family immigrated to the United States when Michael was 11 years old and they settled in Putnam Lake, New York.
Michael is survived by his wife of 41 years, Gail Lewis currently of South Glens Falls, NY, his stepdaughters Doreen Miller currently of South Glens Falls, NY, Teri Kilmer (Scott) of Pine Plains, NY, his brother Richard Lewis of Danbury, CT, his sister Eileen Capellaro of Danbury, CT as well as several nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased by parents and his brother Shawn Lewis of Danbury, CΠΆ.
Retiring in 2018 after 50 years at Pawling Corporation in Pawling, NY, Michael enjoyed traveling to places such as Hawaii, Mexico several times and just taking weekend trips with his wife and family.
He enjoyed NASCAR, the History Channel, and practical jokes.
At Michael’s request, there will be no services. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, Michael and his family request you donate to your local Hospice.
