Obituary, James M. Daley

James M. Daley passed away early Friday, December 1, 2023 at home with his family in Millbrook, NY at the age of 61.

A resident of Millbrook for 23 years, he previously resided in Pawling and Poughquag, NY.  Born in Mahopac, NY on October 18, 1962 he was adopted and raised by the late William R. and Garnet (Whitney) Daley; he married Beth Beyer on August 5, 1995 in Stanford; she survives at home.

Jim was a self-employed electrician who loved hunting & fishing, NASCAR, and his sweet cat, “Little Kitty.” He had a special knack for striking up conversations when he was out and about town and Beth affectionately called him the “local mayor.”

In addition to his wife, Beth, he is survived by two sons, James W. Daley and Joseph J. Daley, both of Millbrook, one daughter Jodie Stone Daley residing in Buhl, Idaho, his biological mother Janice (Daley) Keeler of Wingdale, and his sister Tina Keeler-Vaitkus of Highland, NY. He is predeceased by a brother William M Daley.

Family and friends may pay their respects at Horn & Thomes, Inc Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling on Wednesday, December 6th from 4-7 PM.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 7th in Quaker Hill Cemetery, Pawling at 11:00 am.
