North Castle, New York – On November 13, 2023, the New York State Police from the Somers barracks arrested John Carlos Javier, age 25, of Waterbury, CT, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1^st degree, a class A-I felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3^rd degree with intent to sell, a class B felony.

At approximately 3:05 p.m., the State Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2014 Toyota Corolla on Interstate 684 for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.  Investigation by the Trooper and his K9 partner Fortini determined the operator, John Carlos Javier, was in possession of approximately 1 kilogram of cocaine.

Javier was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Lasansky of the town of North Castle Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail pending his next scheduled appearance of November 14, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.
