School Zone Fentanyl Dealer Apprehended by Drug Task Force in Early Morning Raid

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force reports the arrest of Maurice Bogle, from the City of Poughkeepsie, age 38, for one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to sell 3rd degree and one count of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance -Fentanyl 3rd degree. Both charges are Class B Felonies with other charges pending.

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force has been continuing to investigate drug dealers who Fentanyl in our communities. The Dutchess County Drug Task has been investigating the sale of Fentanyl on Forbus Street within approximately 200 ft of Poughkeepsie High School. Drug Task Force Agents purchased Fentanyl and other narcotics from Maurice Bogle during the course of the investigation. On 11/2/23 The Dutchess County Drug Task Force conducted an early morning raid of a house on Forbus Street with the assistance of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Service Unit and the City of Poughkeepsie Neighborhood Recovery Unit. As a result of the raid of Mr. Bogle’s residence, a quantity of cocaine and Fentanyl were seized.

The Drug Task Force will aggressively target poison dealers in Dutchess County to prevent senseless and preventable overdose deaths in Dutchess County. The Dutchess County Drug Task Force is warning residents of Dutchess County that Fentanyl is the leading cause of overdose deaths in Dutchess County. Selling Fentanyl in close proximity to a school is a public health risk and the Drug Task Force will aggressively target any person who sells Fentanyl in Dutchess County.
