SUNY Canton recognizes Canton College Foundation Scholarship Recipient Victoria Rickert of Dover Plains

CANTON, NY (10/26/2023)– Victoria Rickert, a SUNY Canton Criminal Investigation major from Dover Plains, N.Y., received the Coombs-Muscarella Endowed Scholarship.

Rickert is one of more than 300 students to receive at least one scholarship from the Canton College Foundation, Inc., during the fall 2023 semester. The majority of the college’s scholarship recipients had the chance to meet with the benefactors responsible for their award during the annual Scholarship Luncheon Celebration recently held on campus.

“We extend our sincere congratulations to all of the students who received scholarships this year,” said SUNY Canton President Zvi Szafran. “You are being rewarded for your hard work through the support of your sponsor. We all believe in you and look forward to watching you succeed.”

SUNY Canton Vice President for Advancement Tracey L. Thompson thanked donors for making the awards possible.

“The gift you are giving is much more than a scholarship,” Thompson said. “You are providing the gift of opportunity or a shot at a better life filled with purpose and achievement. Your return on investment is the lifelong gratitude of your student recipients.”
