The New York State Police in Liberty are investigating a homicide in the town of Neversink.

PRESS RELEASE
On October 8, 2023, at approximately 6:58 p.m. State Troopers responded to a residence on Bradley Avenue in the town of Neversink for a report of a cardiac arrest. When troopers arrived, they observed EMS providing CPR to Lloyd Botsford, age 71. While performing life saving measures, they observed a gunshot wound to his head. An investigation led to the arrest of Drew Botsford, age 46 from the town of Neversink, he is also the son of the victim. He was charged with Murder 2nd degree and remanded Sullivan County Jail without bail.
