James Michael “Mike” Knuffke, 68, a longtime area resident, died on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at home in Dover Plains, NY. Mike was a painter who owned and operated Spectrum Painting in Amenia, NY.
Born on April 29, 1955 in Sharon, CT, he was the son of the late Francis M. and Hazel (Elliott) Knuffke. He was an active AA member and was a sponsor to many members. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards.
He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Knuffke of Hyde Park, NY; three brothers, John Knuffke of Dover Plains, NY; Martin Knuffke of Kingston, NY and Frank Knuffke of Tennesee; two sisters, Bonnie Pelliciotti of Dover Plains, NY and Wilma Dills of Pisgah Forest, NC. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jayden M. Knuffke of LaGrange, NY; Lloyd B. Conners of Pleasant Valley, NY and Nevaeh A. Knuffke of Hyde Park, NY.
