Obituary, Bonnie Lou Savage Duncan

Mrs. Bonnie Lou Savage Duncan, age 77, of Bedford, Kentucky entered this life on May 8, 1946 in Ogdenburg, New York in St. Lawrence County. She was the daughter of Frederick P. Savage and Doreen G. Nickerson Savage Schreiber. She was raised in Upper State New York and received her GED from the University State of New York in 1984. Bonnie was first united in marriage to James Finkle and this marriage of eight years was blessed with two children. She was later united in marriage on June 27, 1975 to Roger Duncan in Union Vale, New York. She owned and operated a custom furniture business called R Furniture Showcase in Granville, New York. She had also worked as a realtor and in mobile home sales. In her spare-time she enjoyed photography, painting, was obsessed with Republican politics and really loved working in sales. She had resided in the Bedford community since 1990. Bonnie died on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. at the Norton King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.
A LOVING FAMILY
Bonnie will be missed by her sons, James Duncan, Sr. and his wife, Tammy of Bedford, Kentucky and Jodi Finkle and his wife, Judy of Bedford, Kentucky; her step son, Timothy Duncan and his wife, Tina of Maine; her step daughter, Robin Duncan of Connecticut; her grandchildren, James Duncan, Jr. (Kindsey), Hunter Duncan (Autumn Ames), Danny Duncan, Dustin Finkle (Olivia), Heidi Ceiyko (Tyler), Aaliyah Finkle, Adrian Finkle, Emilee D; her ten great grandchildren; her sisters, Judy Ball and her husband, Bob of Pawling, New York, Susan Twaddell of Pawling, New York, Mary Flood and her husband, Ed of Upper State, New York; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Frederick P. Savage, died in 1985, her step father, Herman Schreiber, her mother, Doreen G. Nickerson Savage Schreiber, died September 23, 2002; her husband, Roger Duncan, died August 19, 2019, her brother, Billy Savage, died June 4, 1978, her sister, Jeanine Diane Johnson, died July 16, 1997, her step daughter, Beth Duncan; her grandson, Nicholas Finkle, died August 22, 2019, her great granddaughter, Addyson Nicole Finkle, died April 27, 2010.

Bonnie chose cremation. A family gathering will occur in the fall.
