Rotarian Margot Jacobs, a fourteen year member of the Pawling Rotary Club, has become a Paul Harris Fellow

Rotarian Margot Jacobs, a fourteen year member of the Pawling Rotary Club, has become a Paul Harris Fellow.  The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who have made significant contributions to The Rotary Foundation. According to the Rotary web site, “The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.”
 
Ms. Jacobs was presented with the Paul Harris pin, as well as a certificate by Rotary Club President Rev. Stefan Gramenz at the Tuesday, July 11th meeting. Nine members of the Pawling Rotary Club have achieved this recognition.  Among the fellowship of Paul Harris designates are President Jimmy Carter,  Russian President Boris Yeltsin, Jonas Salk, and Astronaut James Lovell.
