Celebrating 100 years at the Kent Art Association with three shows in one place!

The Kent Art Association’s annual Members Show will launch June 30th at 1:00 and will host works from area artists of all styles and mediums. This non-juried show is open to all members of the KAA.

Replacing the President’s Show and in honor of the KAA’s 100th year anniversary, we will be hosting a Founder’s Show that will run concurrently with the Member’s Show and Solo Show featuring artist Shawn Sullivan. The Show will include works by the original founders Robert Nesbit, George Lawrence Nelson, Eliot Clark, Rex Brasher, and F. Luis Mora.

The Solo Show this year features Naugatuck artist Shawn Sullivan who was awarded Best in Show in last year’s Members Show. He will be exhibiting over 30 works in the KAA Aiken Gallery.

The opening reception for the three shows will be held Friday, June 30th from 6:00pm-8:00pm. The monthly coffee talk will be held Saturday, July 8th at 10:00am and will feature Marge Smith from the Kent Historical Society speaking about founder George Lawrence Nelson.
