Putnam County Country Fest and 4-H Showcase Returns with Even More Activities

It is time to start planning your summer. Let Cornell Cooperative Extension help you out!

Here at Putnam County Country Fest and 4-H Showcase, we know how important it is to have fun with

your family. That is why we have put together a weekend of events sure to be the highlight of your summer!

The festival kicks off Saturday, July 29th at 10:00 am with the 4-H Cloverbuds, and long time 4-H friend, musician David Amram under the pavilion at Veterans Memorial Park in Kent, NY. The NY Cruisers return, weather permitting, in addition to a craft show featuring local artists, vendors galore, live music, food trucks and lots of activities for the kids (and adults!). Come early for the miniature pony rides and stay late for a helicopter landing.

The fun does not stop there—on Sunday, July 30th there’s also horse and dog showmanship demonstrations, Touch-A-Truck, an Apple Pie Bake Off and the 2nd Annual Duck Derby, where the winner will receive a a Samsung 50” HD 4K Smart TV. Special guests The Nimham Mountain Singers will perform live at 12 noon. If you cannot make it both days, do not worry; there are plenty of activities over the weekend that are sure to keep everyone happy.

So, what are you waiting for? Get those calendars out and mark down Putnam County Country Fest and 4-H Showcase as one of your top priorities this summer. We promise—you will not regret it!

The Fest and Showcase is a great community event that happens every year with the support of awesome volunteers and the generosity of the Putnam community. We thank you for your continued support and hope you will join us for some old-fashioned family fun with a new twist! I look forward to seeing everyone at the end of July!
