Florence A. Wagner, 71, a former long-time resident of Pawling, currently of Wappingers Falls, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 at Westchester Medical Center.
Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on May 1, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Ernestine (Castelano) Zanghi.
Florence was a doctor’s assistant at Hudson River Psychiatric Center in Hyde Park, NY for many years.
Florence was an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles. She dabbled in various art genres and enjoyed going out to dinner with her friends. She was a avid shopper and, like the rest of her family, she loved to go gambling.
She is survived by her brother, Sam Zanghi, of Reading, PA and her nephew Jeremy Harby and his wife Jessica, and their two children, Logan and Landon, of Freeport, LI.
In addition to her mother and father, she is predeceased by her sister, Loretta Harby.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, June 15th from 9-10:30 AM at the Horn & Thomes, Inc Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM at St. John’s Church, 39 East Main Street, Pawling. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, East Street, Pawling.
