Maureen Ann Mulcahy-Groth, 50, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, died surrounded by her family on Friday, June 9, 2023, at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. Born on March 3, 1973 in Poughkeepsie, NY, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Joanne (Diottaviano) Mulcahy.
Mrs. Groth was a former certified nurse’s assistant at Putnam Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brewster. She was an avid collector of angel figurines who loved her coffee and her German Shepherd, Maverick.
She is survived by her fiancé, Timothy Magley, Sr. of Dover Plains; two sons, Michael Groth, Jr. of Dover Plains, NY; Timothy Magley of Dover Plains, NY and two daughters, Brittany Harrington and her husband, Alexander of Dover Plains, NY and April Magley of Dover Plains, NY. She is also survived by three brothers, John Mulcahy of Wappingers Falls, NY; Patrick Mulcahy of New Mexico and James Mulcahy of Amenia, NY; two sisters, Kathleen Fincher of New Mexico and Nicole Mulcahy of Poughkeepsie, NY; a granddaughter, Lilith Harrington, several nieces and nephews, and Eliseo Caceres of Dover Plains, NY who Maureen was his guardian.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Michael Groth in 2011.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the funeral home with Minister Darren Duso officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Dover Plains, NY.
