Obituary, Timothy John Kolka

Timothy John Kolka, 44, a resident of Laurens, NY, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY.
Born in Suffern, NY on November 24, 1978, he was the son of the late Timothy Kolka and Leeanne (Nuccio) (Kolka) Parry of New Fairfield, CT.  Tim graduated from Clarkstown North High School in 1997 and then attended SUNY of Morrisville.  He married Kristen Bodor in Mt. Vision, NY on September 10, 2016; she survives at home.
Tim worked as a technician at Mold-A-Matic in Oneonta, NY.
Tim loved all kinds of sports: hockey, skiing, snowboarding, baseball, basketball, and football.  He loved growing up on his grandfather’s dairy farm with the horses, cows, chickens, dogs, and cats.  He especially loved Amber the German Shepard that came to visit him at the Hospice center.
His daughter Brooklyn loved “cuddle-time” with her dad, son T.J. fondly remembers apple picking with his dad, and his step-daughter Haven loved playing video games with him.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter Brooklyn of Laurens, NY, son Timothy James “TJ” Kolka of Brewster, NY, and step-daughters Serenity and Haven of Laurens; brothers Michael and Brandon Clark of CT and Shane Jacobs of New York; his beloved Aunt Colleen and her husband Keith, Aunt Maureen Cifuni and husband Robert, Aunt Eva Nuccio, Aunt Margaret Kolka, Uncles Michael and Robert Kolka and Eric and George Nuccio, and his maternal grandmother Ann Theiro.
He is predeceased by his father, his little brother Kenneth Kolka, his Godfather Uncle Jeffrey Kolka, and his Godmother Aunt Elizabeth Kolka.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses for special the care and compassion they gave Tim and his family while he was in their care.
A Mass will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Augustine’s Church, 114 S Main Street, New City, NY 10956.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Memory of Tim may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, 1 Sunrise Lane, Newburgh, NY 12550 or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
