Rotarians at Work!
Members of the Pawling Rotary Club were busy on December 6th, after their regularly scheduled meeting, as they wrapped Christmas presents for families registered in the Adopt a Family program through the Pawling Resource Center. Rotarians adopted 5 children within three Pawling families ranging in age from five through thirteen. Aside from needed items of clothing, each child will receive a toy or item of interested that was requested. Along with participating in the PRC’s Adopt-a-Family program, the Rotary Club held its annual coat drive which concluded on November 15th. Ninety-five new or gently used coats were collected in bins available at the Lathrop Center. Coats were then distributed to families through the PRC.
Pawling’s Rotary Club is grateful to the community for their spirit of giving, not only during this holiday season, but throughout the year, and wish all a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
