East Fishkill Police Department responded to a head-on motor vehicle accident
On 8/10/2022, at about 4:38 pm, officers of the East Fishkill Police Department responded to a head-on motor vehicle accident on Route 376, just north of Robinson Lane and Lake Walton Road.
Upon officer arrival, there was a black Dodge Ram and a blue BMW in the southbound lane, both with significant damage and one driver with serious injuries. The male driver of the BMW, a 64 year old Poughkeepsie resident, was transported to Mid Hudson Regional Hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a Dodge Ram, operated by a 16 year old male resident of Wappingers Falls, was traveling northbound on Route 376 and head-on collision occurred in the southbound lane. This investigation has not yet been completed and further details will be not be released out of respect for the victim and the family.
