Beekman, New York – On August 1, 2022, Katherine M. Garcia, age 23, of Newbugh, was reported missing to the New York State Police by her family.

Garcia was reportedly last seen by friends on the night of July 30, 2022, at a residence in the town of Beekman.  While searching for her, a vehicle was located off the roadway in a small body of water off of the Taconic State Parkway near Exit 37 (Interstate 84) in the town of East Fishkill.  Garcia, the sole occupant in the vehicle, was found deceased.

This investigation remains ongoing.
