John Richard Phillips, 67, resident of Wingdale, NY for the last 3 years, formerly of Pawling, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Danbury Hospital, Danbury, CT.
Born in Mt. Kisco, NY on February 9, 1955, he was one of two sons of the late Howard Richard Phillips and Alice Macartney. John grew up in Pawling, attending Pawling Elementary School and graduating from Pawling High School.
In high school, John was a very good football and basketball player. He was a former volunteer fireman and a avid NASCAR fan.
John owned and operated JR Plumbing in Pawling for many years.
He is survived by his daughter, Katherine Gasperetti (William) of Walden, NY and his two grandsons, Brayden and Reid Gasperetti, also of Walden; his brother James Phillips of Poughkeepsie; his niece Lindsay Murphy of Michigan and nephew Ryan Phillips of Buffalo, NY, and several cousins.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, July 28th from 4-7 PM at the Horn &Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.
