State Police find stolen car, leads to stolen gun

Livingston, New York – On July 14, 2022, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Carlyle C. Gill, age 35, of Livingston, Matthew J. Cornacchia, age 33, of Greenport, NY, and Jamie L. Shook, age 39, of Hudson, NY, for two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th degree, a class E felony, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor.

At approximately 12:50 p.m., a SP Livingston Investigator observed a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe known to be stolen being operated on State Route 9 near Stickles Road.  Coordinating with uniform patrols in the area a traffic stop was conducted.  Investigation confirmed the vehicle was the same reported stolen from Livingston on July 8, 2022.

Additional investigation found the three suspects to be in possession of small amounts of both crack-cocaine and heroin, as well as a stolen Ruger 17 HMR rifle.

Gill, Cornacchia, and Shook were each issued appearance tickets returnable to the town of Livingston court on July 21, 2022, at 6:00 p.m.
