Esther Sylvia Mascolino, 86, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the home of her son Anthony and daughter-in-law Jeannie Mascolino in Patterson, NY.
A 27-year resident of Pawling, Esther was born on April 18, 1936, in Mount Vernon, NY, the daughter of Giovanni and Marie Grace (Rossine) Piacenti. She married Anthony Mascolino in Mount Vernon on May 25, 1958; he passed away in 2009.
Esther was a retired hairdresser who loved playing Bingo and 3 card poker, and cooking for her family and friends.
In addition to her son Anthony, she is survived by her daughter Christine Addonizio of Stormville, her sister Mafalda Rossi of Eastchester, NY, and her four grandchildren, Anthony Mascolino. Shane and Brandon Addonizio, and Jessica Kaznowski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 11 AM at St. John’s Church, 39 East Main Street, Pawling, NY. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
Esther has supported St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital for many years, In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in her memory would make her smile.
