*Updated* State Police investigating shooting in Clermont

PRESS RELEASE
Update June 11, 2022:
The State Police arrested Tremaine A. Harris, age 21, of Ghent, NY, for Attempted Murder in the 2nd degree a class B felony,  Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree, a class C felony, and three counts of Reckless Endangerment in the 1st degree, a class D felony.
Investigation determined Tremaine Harris specifically targeted and attempted to murder the owner of a private estate on Woods Road.
Tremaine fired multiple times with a PW Arms 12 gauge tactical shotgun striking the victim in a leg.  Several additional estate employees were in the vicinity of the victim as Tremaine opened fire.
The injuries sustained by the victim are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Tremaine then fled the scene and was apprehended in the city of Hudson by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and members of the State Police.
Further investigation allowed for the obtainment of a search warrant for the residence of Tremaine Harris granted by a Columbia County Court magistrate.  At the residence, Investigators located a Smith&Wesson 44 magnum revolver, a Smith&Wesson .380 Body guard semiautomatic handgun, both stolen, and a Smith&Wesson model 36 revolver.  All of which were illegally possessed by Terrence S. Harris, age 42. Terrence Harris was subsequently arrested for three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree, a class D felony, and two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th degree, a class E felony.
Tremaine and Terrence Harris were arraigned before the town of Clermont Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail. Preliminary hearings are scheduled for June 15, 2022.
This investigation remains ongoing.

Clermont,  New York – June 10, 2022, the State Police are investigating a shooting on Woods Road in the town of Clermont.
One victim has been injured and taken to a local hospital.
With the assistance of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office the suspect is in custody.
All local area schools that were placed in lockout have been released
