Hannah Jackson of Poughquag  inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma

ONEONTA, NY (04/12/2022)– Hannah Jackson of Poughquag, NY, was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society on April 6th. Jackson, who I s majoring in Early Child/Childhood Education, is a member of the Track & Field team at SUNY Oneonta.

Jackson was one of 49 scholar-athletes inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma as part of NCAA Division III Week. To qualify for induction into Chi Alpha Sigma, a student must have achieved at least junior standing with a cumulative 3.4 grade point average while earning two varsity letters in an NCAA intercollegiate sport. Each student athlete must also be of good moral character and have the endorsement of both the head coach of his or her sport and the chapter president.

SUNY Oneonta supports 21 varsity teams and is a member of the SUNYAC Conference while competing at the NCAA Division III level. The Red Dragons have enjoyed a long history of success athletically celebrating National Champions and All-Americans along with Conference, Regional and National Players of the Year. Oneonta student athletes compete on state-of-art athletic facilities while enjoying modern locker rooms.
