Born on October 26, 1937 in Brookton, Maine, he was the son of the late Halcott and Alice (Irish) Gilman. On June 13, 1959, in Danforth, Maine, he married Bonnie Spinney who survives at home.
Mr. Gilman was a member of the Chestnut Ridge Rod and Gun Club and an avid hunter, fisherman, and bowler.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Christinna Gilman, and her husband, Casey White, of Fort White, Florida; a sister, Marlene of Wytopitlock, ME; two grandsons, Timothy Jenkins and Joshua Jenkins and a great-grandson, Legend Jenkins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Laurie Gilman, and several brothers and sisters.
