An unknown individual is soliciting money for the Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff’s PBA
If you received a phone call from an unknown individual soliciting money for the Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff’s PBA, it is NOT a member from the PBA and it is a scam. The Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff’s PBA does not conduct fundraisers by phone.
Our Detective Bureau is currently investigating a new scam which was brought to our attention. In this new phone scam, an unknown phone number contacts residents of Dutchess County and solicits money claiming to benefit the Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff’s PBA. This is a scam and has no affiliation with the Sheriff’s Office or Deputy Sheriff’s PBA.
