Obituary

Susan Marie Pigott went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2022, she was born in Putnam, NY the second daughter of Jeremiah and Theresa Pigott on October 7, 1966. She was the second eldest of 5 siblings. Susie graduated from Dover High School in 1987. Susie as she was called by her family and friends, was a sweet and caring child.

During high school Sussie worked with her theatrical friends dressing up as characters to entertain children at local amusement parks. She loved this job and had many great times getting into character. Susie always put others before herself. She loved to give gifts and always had something special for her nieces and nephews.

After high school Susie attended State University of New York at Saranac. Some of Susie’s fondest memories were during her time studying at University of Hawaii in Hilo. Sussie studied math and accounting. She loved the local people and the tropical culture.

Susie enjoyed crafts and cooking throughout her life, she crocheted blankets and scarves for many family and friends over the years. Her greatest joy was to be serving others. Likewise, her potato salad will never be duplicated!

Musicals and Broadway shows were always special to Susie. She loved all things Disney. Whenever nieces and nephews came over Susie would have several movies picked out for them to watch. She always had the latest hits ready to go.

Susie was a devout follower of Christ. She loved the Lord and cared for his flock. She often volunteered at her home church, the New Day Tabernacle’s food pantry.

Susie was preceded in death by her father Jeremiah Thomas Pigott Sr. She is survived by her mother, Theresa Mary Pigott, her siblings and their spouses, Theresa and Kenneth Whatly, Mary and Micheal Hicks, Margaret and Dean Venette and Jeremiah and Samantha Pigott, many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Susie’s nieces and nephews always looked forward to her vast collection of movies and sweet treats.

Calling hours will be held from 11 am to 12 noon on Monday, March 21, 2022 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will take place at 12 noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Dover Plains.
